Crunchy Thots

Thanks so so much Julia. Hope to meet you in person next time.

On days when the seconds are heavy and the hours are long, when the steps are stiff and the heart doesn't sing you a song, it's time to indulge in some sweet treats to boost the immune system. The recipe is simple, just sprinkles of this and a dash of that, not to forget a dollop of those and a cup of good power mash. They are called crunchy thoughts, words that are too sweet to pass and too delectable to ignore.

Crunchy Thots Recipe

Making them is pretty simple, all you need is an air tight jar or a small tin(you may decorate them if it pleases you) and colourful papers cut into strips. Google some nice sayings and quotes from the internet, words that uplift you, ideas that push you through the day. They can be in Arabic, German, English, Malay, as long as you understand what they mean, collect them and once you have enough(around 50 or more) begin to write it one by one on the colourful strips tadi. Or you could do it on a daily basis, write at least one a day and put it in the crunchy thoughts jar and let it build up in numbers over the months. Once the jar has filled up, make it a point to open the jar in the morning before you and your family start your day and let each one take a piece of the paper you have collected.

Read what it says on the paper aloud to each other and learn from the beautiful words together as a family. Below are some of my favourite quotes by famous people which I have been collecting and filling up my jar.
