Pleasing The Pleases

Yes, I am officially on a cake leave right now.
No, I am still baking and cake decorating.

I was at my level two class the other day and the lesson was all about how to construct questions using Be and Auxiliary verbs. I wonder how would they create the questions for the answers above.

Apparently, I have become more of a baker first, then a teacher. Which ever way the order is, I am still baking and I am still teaching which only mean I am still breathing and striving to serve cakes for my kids. It's nice to see them having the luxury of licking the icing on the cake once in a while. Alhamdullilah for all that.

A glimpse of cakes these past few days...

Thanks a bunch Aishah. Aishah is a superb chocolate maker folks. She bakes too. I don't see why she needed to order from me.Have a look at her products, you'll love them.

Thanks Azlia!

Thanks again Teacher Alia! and also not forgetting Hilmy (the nice guy on the block) for these orders.

Hope everyone is pleased with their cakes. I am pleased to please you.:0)

Smoke Gets In My Eyes

When my cake announcement was put up a few weeks ago, I was mentally and physically ready for restful weeks ahead. Imagining myself clean from patches of flour, hands free of food colours, oil absent from my face, cake smoke gone from my chimney but the best operative sentence yearned would be "house back in order". On the contrary to my expectations and imaginations, the announcement served somehow as an effective advertisement of the cake pondok I am operating right from my house. As a result of my little add, more orders gushed in and as much as I wanted to decline and say no to, I simply succumbed to the eye blinkings and dopey cute please-ings from customers and friends.*but seriously, thanks guys* My oven was puffing up more smoke than ever before, I do pity the little fellow and suffice to say it baked its lungs out! I kept tapping myself with thoughts of the much awaited trip that I would be taking in June insyallah, and I could sure use that extra ringgit then...and so baking was all I did these past few weeks. Of course apart from the smoke in my eyes, there were also those classes which equivalently made my eyes as teary. Sometimes, these little size four feet of mine just refused to trudge to class and teach. It takes a whole lot from you, put energy aside, but it's more of you parting away with your not much left youth. I reckoned at the end of all this, I would look like a raisin, wrinkly and dried up but nevertheless sweet at the same time, he he he.

My thanks to all who ordered. And without further blabbering here's my weeks in baking. Take it away smoky (that's my oven singing)

Thanks Alia for the order!

Sha's order was very complicated with each cupcake adorned with different theme. There were significant dates and places and inanimate objects of importance in their relationship. I gave it my best shot to cater to her request simultaneously sticking to the blue and silver color theme of the hantaran. Thanks Sha!

Jaja's order for her good friends before she bade us farewell to leave for MRSM Trengganu. Thanks Kakyong!

Zizi ordered again! Thanks Zizi, so very sweet of you. All the best in welcoming the new baby!

Thanks Norish and Pek Mun Chew for the order.

I would also like to thank a few others, Anne, Rina and Shasha who have ordered but unfortunately their cakes were not captured in my camera as it went missing for a few days. I have a few more cakes to share with you but those deserve a special entry of their own.

Bubbly is As Bubbly Does.

Sugar in absence, silence in connection, one whole week of relaxation or in other words boredom! For the first time in so many months I was left with not much to do except to mind the kids. The trip back wasn't planned to just do that but more purposefully to get my pending health check up with my gynae. Being a woman in her mid thirties, I have been neglecting my health and haven't been responsible to undergo any check-ups of any sort, especially after the birth of the two kids and the cystectomy once upon a time. The time proved to be right when lumps started to appear and panic started to set in and I knew I couldn't stall it any longer. Therefore, had an overall examination from top to toe as well as the feared Mammogram.

Results were comforting, I was given a clean bill of health, alhamdulillah syukur sangat2. But when I came back from my trip after one whole week of internetless, I was appalled with the malfunctioning computer. It is currently experincing a major crash. It would take at least a week before I could get back to my normal blogging routine again, but the worst thing is, all my cake pictures gone, some important cakes files not retrievable, and documents lost!

It is probably a blessing in disguise, a way for me to take more time to relax and concentrate on my classes and other tangible worldly stuff. I will come back when the computer is ready but most importantly, when I am. Thanks for checking my blog from time to time, I am still around, just not in here.

Catcha later folks.

I've been awake for a while now
You make me feel like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place

It starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying safe and warm
You give me feelings that I adore

It starts in my toes
Make me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

What am I going to say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm

And it starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth

And it stats in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feeling shows
'cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin' me tight

Wherever wherever wherever you go
Wherever wherever wherever you go

wherever you go
I always know
'Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while

So Long!....and thanks for all the fish.

So long folks, I am heading back to Ipoh! Yay! Be spending some quality time with my kids, nephews and nieces and parents and friends. No cakes to think about, no students to worry about, and no kids to ferry around. To those who have ordered cakes from me, worry not I will insyallah return to deliver your cakes on the designated dates as promised. Till then, have a good restful week ahead and I see you when I see you!...and thanks for all the fish.

Do click on the You tube video. It's the soundtrack taken from "Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" movie. My kids' favourite and mine and husband's too.

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that grow (around you)
So long so long and thanks for all the fish

The world’s about to be destroyed
There’s no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the world dissolve (around you)

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your pregnant women

So long so long, so long so long, so long so long, so long so long
So long so long, so long so long, so long so long, so long so long
So long so long and thanks for all the fish

If I had just one last wish
I would like a tasty fish
If we could just change one thing
We would all have learnt to sing

Come one and all
Man and mammal
Side by side in life's great gene pool

So long so long, so long so long, so long so long, so long so long
So long so long, so long so long, so long so long, so long so long
So long so long and thanks for all the fish

Cakes ordered by fellow blogger Tulipurple and As. Thanks so much both, for ordering a simple design, appereciate the thoughts.

National Geographic Special

Amidst the lush uncropped greenery at wiz's sanctuary, the perfect location for animals' breeding ground, lies a variety of new species of animals. It's amazing how this little place has received many uninvited guests over the past years, guests which would make anyone cringe at their presence. Neighbours and nearby visitors have often flocked this natural sanctuary for its ability to host different types of rare species, truly a kingdom animalia in the making!

Wiz's sanctuary has so far recorded at least four dissimilar visits ranging from 3 foot lizard or scientically known as lizarthusimmus gellinyas, a wild bird as big as the chicken known as ayammus kamspungxtisus, a forest owl termed as burungitus ghostytis and the most recent habitué being the shoe string snake known as slithritimaxes kenitizes.

The latest collection to wiz's sanctuary, the slithritimaxes kenitizes has apparently made friends with the owner's children. One of the kids spotted how the snake was constantly waving at him by shaking its head. Adnin, the only son of this family believed that the snake even smiled at him occasionally showing its tongue to extend its friendship. The owner of this sanctuary however has denied allegations that she is endangering the lives of her children, assuring the public that safety measures have been installed in the house to prevent the limbless reptile from entering their resident.

More updates will be published soon in the next National Geographic Special issue where our team will get real facts on this unique place and its peculiar family.

Fluttering by,
was a butterfly,
it hovers, it takes
on all my cupcakes.

One and two, came,
followed by many,
so beautiful, so tame,
they became my company.

Fluttering to finish up,
stretching my affinity,
the butterflies helped out,
and snuggled there beautifully.

I made them little flowers,
to accompany them in their journey,
May they be the wonders,
for the tired and the weary.

The butterflies take the part,
soothing the eyes of the beholder,
specially made for the lady of Hart,
only the best and the nicest for a fellow blogger!

Hart ordered 5 boxes of these and it took me quite a while to complete them, phew! Thanks so much Hart for the order!

Well folks! This is it. This is my last entry of the novelty line and so I would like to think...he he he. I have a few more after this, entertaining close friends and relatives' requests. Starting from today onwards I would only accept the simple swirl and frozen cake orders.

Thanks for sharing with me this little cake journey of mine right from the very first cake up until now. It's been quite a ride, bumpy and all, a Juara turned band wagon at times with numerous cakey mishaps, mistakes, and blunders. Nevertheless it was certainly eventful, enriching and most importantly an expansive learning experience.

I will still be around relating my stories and like always sharing that tall glass of chilled chocolate milk, well...only if you care to stay. So until...

Thanks so much Yati for giving me the trust to attempt the non dairy version of everything.

Thanks Boss!

Cakes In Between

White grass inspired by Yatt's cupcakes.
Much thanks to Mr. Faizal. I apologize for the missing cookies in the cookie monsters.

A bunch of thanks to Ezlin. Hope you like the whole do.

Heartfelt thanks to Azrina for the muffs orders. This is as cute as I could come up with.

Wiz just got back from class and now rushes back to the kitchen and races against time to finish a few more orders.(Panicking)

Thanks for looking!

Dearest Friends,

Orders for March are officially closed. However, I would comply to orders which require the simple swirl designs of the muffette size and the standard size. Requests for special themes and novelty cakes as well as fondant cakes are not doable for me at this point of time. I am swamped with classes and markings which I intend to do whole heartedly these few months.

For those who have placed their orders from last year and last month and have received confirmation emails from me, worry not, they will all be completed on time insyallah.

I would be back for more baking assignments come July and in the meantime I would like to offer you other alternatives for your excellent cake needs. The people listed below have years of experience under their spatulas and are revered for their exquisite skills.

Kak Mis

Thanks so much friends, I guess I'll see you in a few months time, unless if you wish to order the simple swirl, and you know I would be more than happy to swirl and twirl for you.(laughs)

Warmest Regards
