More Than A Few Words

Quite a few people have asked me why do I write, sms, or express myself in long sentences. And I reciprocated, "...probably because I was a teacher, still am in my heart." And it goes without saying that teachers don't only tell, they explain. Perhaps, I am just a long winded person.

That's a brief and a well-written post Wiz. Back home, there were two people whom i met for the first time who queried me "are you a teacher?". Well, how could they make such an accurate prediction? Their response was " your speech and explanation are crystal clear" (hope they meant it in a good way). I guess we just have to be caution when to 'teach', 'educate' and 'lecture'. There is a very thin line that separates between these three activities. (Need to be careful not to talk to like a teacher to Mr. Husband *grinning*). As for writing style we just need to respect each other’s differences. Unless we work as a journalist then we’ve got to pay attention to our editor’s bark in order to look after our periuk nasi.

By the way, i would like to share this particular website with all malaysians who are living abroad at the moment (who are avid fans of fawiza's blog.If you would like to watch some pre-recorded malaysian TV programmes you can go to www.worldip.tv and register. Subscription is free. This link has been my pengubat rindu of our beloved country for quite sometime. For those who are interested to know what my country like you can also log on to the website and watch some of our news and tv programmes in English.

Thanks for sharing the info! I don't think I have any fans or readers out there, Salina. You and mamazieza are the only ones. If they are any readers or followers to this blog, I am truly humbled by their presence. And I would just like to breathe a word of thanks for their time.

Regarding teach, educate and lecture, I apply them everyday. I teach myself, I educate my children and I lecture my husband, ha ha ha.

Dear mama,

if i have a blog at the moment, i will feel extremely guilty as i need to dedicate my time now to my book/thesis ( my final project). Insyaallah once i've submitted my work in December, i plan to write about all the interesting places in Yorkshire. Yorkshire is a hidden gem. Many malaysians do not about this beautiful county. asyik-asyik gi London, Manchester, Edinburgh. I can't write about food. There's nothing much about my cullinary skills that i can shout about. I am truly envious of the two of you - pandai masak. I ni bolehlah dikategorikan sebagai tangan bangku.

hahaha... salina... ada ke istilah tangan bangku.. chehhh.. ni baru punya ni.. hehehehe...weiii I am not good at cooking at all.. infact if you all happen to come to my house.. do not expect me to cook as bunga cengkih pun takde tau.. muahahahaha

Ija, to me..the best way to express oneself is by way of long sentences..and thats because I totally suck at face to face small talk ! give me a pen and paper or better an email and I'll 'talk' your ears until they drop...Sadly, not many people find writing a pleasure (by this I mean, Mon !)..I miss writing and getting love letters..but whats the point...i can't even get a decent txt message from my hubby now !!!

Dear Linn,

Why don't you just pick up a pen and start writing or just go to your pc and type! It can be very therapeutic esp since you find writing a pleasure! I hardly receive any text messages from my hubby too except if there is an emergecy!Sometimes i retaliate by sending him long-long text messages that compelled him to reply! Not all men are good at words! My hubby for instance is only good with the computer language but with some guidance and tricks after 4 years of marriage he improves a bit when it comes to the 'vocabulary of love' but i don't expect too much!
Why don't you start a blog!

There you go Kak Linn, all the more reason to start a blog. And just write your heart out. That's why I have mine for.
